Rafflin Menuiserie has been supporting its private and professional customers with a combination of traditional craftsmanship and modern technology for over 47 years.
With a vision centered on people and proximity, Menuiserie Rafflin brings together a team of 14 expert employees who deploy their skills across the 12 municipalities of the Saint-Tropez Community of Communes.
In the Rafflin Menuiserie workshops, there is an echo of passion and a return to roots. Since October 16, 2023, Jérôme FARNET has held the position of “Project Manager,” bringing with him the mark of craftsmanship shaped by his exemplary career.
Born in Saint-Tropez and rooted in Cogolin, from a Tropezian family attached to traditions and loyal bravado, Jérôme obtained his CAP (vocational training certificate) in carpentry in 1993 and cut his teeth in a Cogolin carpentry workshop. But the call of military service led him to the French Navy, where he worked as a shipwright and firefighter.
His return to dry land marked the beginning of a new adventure. For 29 years, he applied his knowledge in a carpentry workshop in Cavalairoise, perfecting his skills as a carpenter, from the workshop to project management. He rose through the ranks, moving from machining center programmer to site supervisor.
Yet destiny always seems to bring passionate souls back to their home port. “Menuiserie Rafflin was meant to be my destiny,” he confides. In 1995, he walked through the doors of the workshop founded by Jean-Charles Rafflin, even though there were no jobs available at the time. Nearly three decades later, it was finally under the leadership of Xavier Rafflin that he was able to realize this project, joining a team of 14 people.
Today, at the heart of the carpentry workshop, Jérôme Farnet is applying his vision and technical expertise to develop traditional woodworking techniques.
Under Xavier’s leadership, he combines ancestral know-how with modern innovations to bring the most daring projects to life with uncompromising standards and satisfy a clientele in search of the exceptional.
“I would like to express my deep gratitude to Xavier, manager of Rafflin Menuiserie and a long-time acquaintance, for welcoming me into his teams and for the trust he places in me every day. What a privilege it is to be able to breathe life into your most ambitious projects.”
A beautiful example of how, sometimes, wood and humans share the same destiny: that of a second life, sculpted with passion.
